...and don't forget the instructions

Postby andriesbike » Sun Feb 18, 2007 9:51 pm

Took our new Oztrail cabin tent for a practice run this weekend as we are going away for a several days over Easter.

Anyway we get to the 'tourist park', it's 38C ......and I forgot the setup instructions for the tent LOL. I only set it up once before; in the backyard, but we got the poles sorted out and got it up.

A question though...

The tent seemed to 'pull up' from the ground (the edge of the tent around the ouside seemed to be 'lifting' ) the pegs 'held it down', but did I do something wrong ?

I've ordered a big tarp and will get some poles,guys,etc....and decide if I'm putting it over the tent as a fly; or setting up a 'shelter'...depends on the size of the site I suppose.

your comments appreciated.

Mine seems to pull up as well but I don't put in all the pegs either, I have never used a fly on mine but it would make it a whole heap cooler if I did, I usually just have a tarp up for an undercover area to cook etc.
