Tie a rolling hitch ( I think thats what its called)

Ummm google it LOL

I'll try explain
loop the rope then go around the main line through the loop twice then up and over the loop and back down through the loop once.

if you need it super taught you can make and eyelet in your main and double back on your pully but remember your rope is most likely to snap at the knots.

I'll see if i can find an image of what i mean - I can hardly understand my explaination

if you want springs on them, you can get them at Big W or KMart. Probably the wooden handles to match also.

I bought some at the caravan show the other day as my campers bed flys only were supplied with 4 guy ropes. I didn't think at the time that the ones I'd bought were for tents and thus, way to short, so I went to Bunnings and bought 16M of rope off the reel... about $14 worth. Get into Kmart or BigW later looking for something else, and they had very similar 'ropes'... 20M for $5.50 or so.... bugger!
