New Add On Compartments for Engel & Waeco Fridges

Postby waltzingmatilda » Mon Oct 08, 2007 10:41 pm

Have you seen the add on compartments for Engel and Waeco fridges from Twozone http://www.twozone.com.au/ adds 21 litres to a 32 & 40 litre Engel and 20 litres to a Waeco. The extra compartment gives you the capability of being able to store fruit & veges etc. which are usually difficult to keep fresh.

They are Australian made and have been independently tested.

Can't comment about the WAECO ones but I do know that the engel ones won't act like a fridge ... they'll just keep food/ drinks 'cool'. I thought about getting one but found that not too many people were happy as they thought it increased fridge space wereas all it does is keep the 'two zone' cool ... a bit like a crisper. Also, it voids any warranty you may have with Engel if you use one.

Thanks Scol - again, from the info I have they are a crisper, if the fridge is on fridge setting, if the its on freezing settings then the twozone is then a cooler for drinks, but I have not used one so I don't know, if anyone has one I would be interested in your opinion on the twozone.
Thanks for the info on the warranty I did not know that, as our fridge is out of warranty that would not matter to us. 8)

Not bad but I've never fully understood these things. by the time you buy a fridge and then pay for the "add on" section you may as well have bought a bigger fridge with a bigger compressor, condenser and cooling plate... It would perform better and definately wont have warranty issues.

Also I dont like to stack too much food on top of other food, and these type setups only really allow for stacking of food.
