I had one of those flat disks with the wire frame that folds on the middle, just like the photo above, but it was really really crap and ended up turfing it! Took far too long for the bread to toast and it kept falling off the wire frame, was using it on a gas stove, but couldnt imagine trying it on anything else ;)
Do yourself a favour and stick with the wire gauze type, might only do one at a time, but its really quick, simple and effective!

Lin's comment on how happy she was with her toaster prompted me to find this thread and bump it again....

Another Toaster question from newbie Brad has prompted me to find this thread again and bump it. Unfortunately I think some of the pics have disappeared.

I will see if I can find one and re post.

Here is a pic of the toaster much discussed and greatly praised in this thread. Whilst I have had my current toaster for a couple years, I have since seen similar ones in BCF; Kmart & BigW. Most camping stores have them now as well and they have actually come down in price over the years.

EDIT: Gauze side down on the flame to cook.

Here is another pic....probably a better one.

BTW....for those of you who don't know.......You put the gauze side down onto the flame....NOT the other way round.
