are self inflating mats any good for the heavier camper???

I am looking to purchase a self inflating mat but I am on the heavier side of things (140kg). I console myself with the fact that I am 199cm tall so i dont look that fat.....

anyhow, I am wondering if these mats are ok for chunky campers, I have been using a cheap blow up matress for years and it hasnt exploded on me so far so I am hopping that an expensive self inflating mat will be alright.

I`ve never noticed if they have a weight restriction, best to ask the camping shop, i can`t see it being a problem.

I have a Caribee Jumbo Mat - Double Bed Size - 198 X 127 X 10cm as a spare bed in the camper trailer. There are no weight restrictions on any of the information that came with it.

Have slept on it and they are great.
