12 VOLT BATTERY??

Postby Smileandhug » Tue Oct 28, 2008 2:45 pm

Any ideas on the best brand of 12V battery to use/buy to run a car radio, car fan and small 12V lights whilst camping in my CT. I dont run all equipment at once and they are low drawing.

Thanks Geoff

any of the deep cycle style batteries are the best. I have a 100amp/h deep cycle battery. try places like local batteries, or i think there is a place over on the northside near you called Xtreme solar?

I agree...Deep Cycle is definitely the way to go.

My recommendation is to talk to Jamie from Dynamic Solar Solutions http://dynamicsolarsolutions.com.au/batinfo/

He is one of the good guys in the business and will not push anything onto you that you do not want.

Yep as above, another place in QLD is Fridge and Solar, lots of great info in this site.

Would you believe he is shutdown for a while. I was put onto him because I was in the market for some solar panels. Anyhow bought elsewhere.

Another guy is Derek Bester who operates out of Gumdale, here http://www.sidewinder.com.au/

I think a few people on this forum have bought from him (perhaps Derek?).
