mobicool fridge C40 DC

Salutations all - I'm new here, but I've been lurking for awhile and am very grateful for all the contributors.

I was in at Kmart (Joondalup Western Australia) today and noticed a Mobicool fridge on DC power - costing only $325. I've done several searches to gain more information, but it's been limited.

statistics
40L capacity
compressor cooler/freezer
variable thermostat -15C to +10C
lid with rubber seal and magnetic lock

websites showing:
http://www.mobicool.com/pages/products/ ... 0_full.htm (but shows the AC version only)
http://www.getawaeco.com.au/products.asp?id=423&catId=6

I'm quite clueless on fridges - thinking of doing more camping trips (not 4WD - using my Mondeo 2008 model) and probably driving around Australia before the end of the year.

Reason for post - is apart from giving people a heads up on what looks like a good price for a fridge (given the getawaeco site refers to double the price) but also seeing if people thought it might be worthwhile.

My thoughts are:
- it's DC only, but you can purchase an adapter to have AC - estimated cost another $89 or so, but adds to the cost.
- not sure about a magnetic/rubber seal. I just imagine that this would deteriorate compared to other fridges that appear to also clip seal - especially if traveling a lot, might be easier to lose the seal and may increase risk of spoilage.

Thanks
