Andrew Drynan Camping Reserve

Andrew Drynan Camping Reserve

Postby Taipan45 » Fri Dec 26, 2008 12:13 pm

G'day all. My name is Peter and I am the new "caretaker" at Andrew Drynan Park. Just to confirm some access and pricing policies at our park.
Comming from Rathdowney and joining Lions Road (Running Creek Road) you will see 2 Main Roads signs. One says that there is a height restrickion at the NSW border. This is false as the overhead restrictor has been taken down. Second says that trucks and caravans are forbidden. This is also a bit of a furfy as i brought my single axel 22ft van through to AD park and so have many others in the 3 mths i have been here...BUT...the 4km to the NSW border is only for the adventurous caravaner as there are 19degree hills and one is 1km long uphill. Camper vans and mid size motor homes have no probs. Even lady grey nomads from the CMA do it...lol.
Prices are $5 per night per head and kids 5 to 15 $2.00. Wood is $10 a 1/4 44gal drum.
Hope this helps you all and if any questions feel free to call the ranger barry on 0755441281.
Call in we'd love to see you.

Hey Peter, thanks for the update on AD Park. It is definitely one of my favourite campgrounds and I like to get out there as often as possible.
