Richmond Range National Park

Found this spot be chance on my last trip to the area, I would only recommed 4wd and offroad campers/vans to access this area. Cambridge Plateau has a picnic area which allows camping overnight for free. Plateau Forest Drive runs the entire length of the park, from south to north, providing convenient and often spectacular views of World Heritage listed rainforest. However in wet weather it's very slippery and prone to damage. The Cambridge Plateau Picnic Area is at the southern end of the drive. 2WD drive vehicles can only enter and leave the park via Mallanganee on the Bruxner Highway.

Access is from Casino, via the Bruxner Highway and Cambridge Plateau Forest Drive. Roads are not open during wet weather. The park is 90 km from Lismore or 120 km from Murwillumbah. Road quality: gravel road

It also has a camping area in the northern end and can be accessed from south or from the west via Bonalbo, dingaling Creek Road and is a very large grassed area and 10 fire places and covered camp kitchen

Firewood collection within the park is not permitted. Please bring your own firewood.

Getting there: The campground is on dingaling Creek road, 2.5km west of the intersection of dingaling Creek Road and Cambridge Plateau Scenic Drive.

Facilities: non-flush toilets, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), picnic tables

Water supply: Water is unsuitable for drinking. Please bring your own drinking water.
