Wentworth & Mildura

Wentworth & Mildura

Postby xmasbaby67 » Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:30 pm

We are looking at staying in Wentworth or Mildura over Easter 2011.

Wentworth would be preferrable as it would be quieter and close enough to Mildura to have a look around.

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

We would like to stay in a caravan park if possible or somewhere with amenities.(2 teenage girls are getting a little fussy these days.)

We like the look of the Willowbend CP in Wentworth. It is on the junction of the Murray & Darling Rivers and looks pretty quite. It also has riverfront sites which I just love!!! ::) Anyone stayed here?

Also would like to know some top spots to visit while we are in the area.

Any comments good or bad would be appreciated. :cheers

We have found that most spots especially riverside sites are already booked out.

Tried to get into two CPs in Renmark but all booked out. So have decided to go as far as Wentworth. Are also looking at going to Bourke for one night(catch up with some mates), then to Menindee Lakes for two nights (Copi Hollow looks nice), then to hopefully Willowbend CP in Wentworth for four nights and check out Mungo, Mildura etc while we are there.

So this way we are doing a little Darling River run!!!!! :*** :***
