We just sold our Cub Drifter which, a while back, required most of the cables to be replaced - not the ones going up in the posts but the ones under the floor. As a DIY job, it wasn't expensive. I took a piece of the old cable to either a hardware store or a sailmaker (can't remember which) and had it matched for thickness. I also bought the little metal crimps that are needed to form any loops in the ends (this is all technical lingo you understand). All up, it didn't cost more than maybe $40 - $50.

another caravan repairer wanted $900 to do it
considering it will cost around $80 for cables and pulleys will do it myself
