Looking to find somewhere where a small motor boat can be used with camp grounds nearby in or around - north coast - south coast - west of brisbane?

Any ideas would be great

Shermo, its really about what you want to do with your small boat.

Lake Cressbrook is worth ago if you just want to putt around and do some fishing, 8knot limit. The camping ground is quite good with showers, camp kitchen.

Then there is moogerah and wivenhoe.

troy,
Thanks for the info I hear that the camp site is a bit away from the water?

At this stage I will be looking at Somerset or even Boreen point?

Its been a couple of years since I was last there, so with the drought the waterline maybe a distance away. I heard at Moogerah the waterline is a couple hundreds of metres from the boat ramp.

Boreen Point is your best bet as the water level is set by the tide. At the furtherest end fom the entrance there are some good sites right near the water, but with a few trees to give you some protection.
