Yes - heading off for our second camping expedition. Again, to a holiday park ('cause I am a wuss), this time at Maroochydore.

We used to live up that way, so are looking forward to catching up with friends and having a couple of relaxing days away.

No camping this weekend but we are off to Portsea for a Homeschooling 'camp'. There's accommodation of course but it will be fun to head up there again, maybe I'll get a chance to scope out some nice places to camp for future expeditions. :)

Yep, we're off to near Tumut. Looking forward to camping in the cold. After so long of hot weather and flies, becoming excited at the change.

Ask me Monday night (or Tuesday) if I am still ecited!!

I hope that the weather improves dramatically! It has been p!$$ing down here on the Gold Coast in the last 24 hrs.

Somehow, there is something about the idea of me in a tent which triggers rain.... I should hire myself out as a drought buster.... :?

Yeah, it picked a good time to rain. :( The forecasts are still saying clearing friday for a sunny weekend.

We are planning to go to the new campground up at Springbrook, so at least the waterfalls should be going well.

We're staying home for the weekend, but the 14yr old has his tent pitched in the backyard and been sleeping in it for the last week :***

No camping for me this weekend. Spent the last half of the week in Sydney on business then got caught up in the Friday night storms.

However not to waste the weekend I'm going for a leisurely drive down the Great Alpine Road to Bairnsdale and back kicking off early Sunday morning.

Hopefully taking in some snow scenes along the way
