Goomburra is good spot, couple of good lookouts, (you can see the Brisbane CBD from Mt Castle). It has no showers and bring your own wood. We also spent the coldest night camping there. Couldn't tell you how cold it got as the thermometer in the car doesn't go below zero. That was May though.

Lake Cressbrook is about 40km north east of Toowoomba. has the best facilities for camping, good toilets, showers and kitchen facilites. Dam is a bit low at the moment. It has about 20 tent sites (bollarded off) which are quite grassy (irrigated with effluent from the amenities), and some have good views of the dam. There are 6 sites for caravans and camper trailers. It is a good sport for just relaxing. Its dead quiet during the week BUT can be busy on the weekends as the locals arrive. If you are interested I wil post some directions.

Have you got any photos of Woody Head. I haven't been there for over 25 years. ::()
