How cold is it around Oct/Nov at night time?

The castle rock camping ground looks like what we are after, grass coverage.

At Oct/Nov is probalby not too bad, though it could be warm during the day getting close to summer.

One thing to note is that the dry conditions have impacted on the campground. They have been turning the showers off when the water levels get too low. Bald Rock CG has been closed for the same reason, to restrict numbers. Check the EPA webpage before you go.

Still one of my favourite spots.
