Bonus Long Weekend - where will you go?

Postby geekcampgirl » Tue Aug 07, 2007 4:12 pm

I notice that Tourism NSW is calling the weekend of the APEC summit the "Bonus Long Weeekend".

I guess that it really only affects Sydneysiders, the rest of us in NSW will still be work as usual. (But I will be on holidays up the Matilda H'way so it doesn't worry me one way or the other.)

But it got me thinking. If you had a bonus long weekend, regardless of where you live, where would you go? It's September so there will be some good weather around.

Where would you go?

Somewere north and on the coast. Agnes Waters if I've no money or Airlie Beach if money isn't too much of an option.

Is the bonus weekend fair dinkum, or they just encouraging people to take the day off?

Anyhow a quick trip to peach trees for us (if the hypothetical weather is good).

Not being a Sydney sider then there is no bonus for me. However with a long weekend would go somewhere. Mrs Bravo and I are having a flex day on Friday and have decided to go to Sand Bar for the weekend. A lovely Caravan Park on a lake with a short walk over a sand dune to a lovely long beach. For those who are not able to get away - :armsup

I think not being a Sydneysider is a bonus in itself ... :armsup
