Last there in 2004. This is Cedar Grove CG.

Toilet conventional with septic (On the left). The shower is an open air experience. (On the right)

The toilets were just like home, but I haven't been there since 2004 so it may have changed.

Overall it was quite a nice place, popular with families, couldn't fault it.

There is another campground up the road next to Muster site (bit busy there at the moment) which is usually pretty quiet, except for the three months lead up to the Muster (its on next week).

A couple more photos of Cedar Grove and Amamoor Creek.

About 30km south west of Gympie. Its where they hold the Gympie Country Music Muster.

They are pretty much similar. Amamoor Creek is about 5km along a dirt road from Cedar Creek which can be a bit rough, but ok if you drive carefully. The result is that Amamoor Creek is quieter (except at Muster time) and you might even get the place to yourself. If you like people around you go Cedar Creek.

Cheers

Scolers,

You might want to check out also
Borumba Dam
Borumba Deer Park
Island Reach

All near Imbil.

And about 70km south of Amamoor you have Charlie Moreland and Boloumba Creek campgrounds (just outside Kenilworth).

PS take in the Mary Valley as it will be under water in a couple of years (Traveston Dam)

We've camped at Amamoor a few times.
Always at the muster site as pets are allowed.

Hate to think what the Muster site is like after all the rain with the Muster itself!
