need advice for the best camp spot out of these 2 choices

Hi everyone

First time poster on these forums!

A group of my mates and i are planning a camping trip during the November cup weekend here in Melbourne.
I have narrowed down our choices to 2 locations.

1. The Great Otways National Park
2. Wilsons Promontary National Park

We have never been to either of these places.
What is most important for us is a camp site that is remote (no one else in the same vicinity), scenic (either beach views or forest views), and has a fir few activities to keep us busy (canoeing, fishing, walks etc).

So with all that info can anyone here recommend some sites within these two locations?

I have heard about Bear's Gully in the Prom which is supposed to be pretty remote. anything else....??

Personally i'm leaning towards The Great Otways. Anyone know approx how far it is by car from the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne??

Cheers

Hi Amreet and welcome. Good to see you finally got online.

Here is a good little article on Bear Gully, http://www.aroundoz.com/a_campsite_arch ... _gully.htm

Cheers

Hi,

I'm interested in this one, we will be down that way later in the year, will be camping at Bear Gully the the Otways, I have heard near Apollo Bay somewhere is a campground not caravan park that has Koalos with their babies everywhere in the trees, would be intersted in this place if anyone knows where it is.

Cheers
