REAL CAMPING

Postby HUSTLER » Tue Feb 05, 2008 4:20 pm

I have been camping b4 about 15 years ago.
I am wanting to get into it again but was wanting to know if anyone has some good spots in Victoria where you can do real camping.
Like, trees, water, somewhere you can dig a pit and have an open fire.
Something like paradise (if you know what I mean).

Has anyone been camping on a farmers property with their permission.

I believe it can be done with a very small fee involved.

Thx

Hustler

It's a reference to 'fashion', you know like this year we're all going to be wearing pink.. it's the new black.

Out Gippsland way (head to moe then head north) there are plenty of places
Grampians etc.

Most places will supply a fire pit as they dont like you having a fire any place you please. (really not thaqt big of a deal and helps keep the environment in good shape)
Many places have drop toilets and the newer ones actually dont have a smell as they are properly ventaliated etc. But there are still plenty of sites where digging a hole is the only option. remember to keep it away from waterways that includes areas that are possible flood areas.
