counting down the days

Postby J`CRUISER » Tue Feb 26, 2008 12:51 pm

well after a long time away from camping and spending a small fortune on new equipment the wife, the kids and myself are off to inskip point for a week. we are leaving monday 3rd and returning on the 7th or 8th depending on the weather. cant wait to try all the new gear out, have a few beers, a spot of fishing and refine my camp checklist for the next trip. i am still in two minds to take the boat so i can get a few crabs for the pot. the wife has a fear of boats and wants to leave it at home but the boys and myself think we should take it. i think i will have to do some negotiating so it makes the trip :) .

You'll need to take the boat to fit all the camping gear in won't you. I know I would if Mrs Bravo was packing for a week away

This calls for out and out deceit Have the boat ready and the night before you load the trailer go out and let a tyre down. Next norning " ohhh shoot lucky thing we can chuck all the stuff in the boat".
Think she would fall for that? :***

that sounds like a plan as the negotiating is not progressing in the direction i would like it to go but i do think the wife is playing me along and will leave it to the day before and say its ok to take.

Good luck and have fun. At least you will be able to play the "I left the boat home for you" card a few times

So that told her, eh? :booty

I'm sure you'll have equally as much fun sans boat. Have a good trip.
