MINYON FALLS

Postby GypsyLady » Tue Feb 26, 2008 4:57 pm

Hi members

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about Minyon Falls near Byron Bay please??

Is it NP, do they have a campground there etc??

I have found some really nice pics on the internet but first hand info is always more helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers GL

Thanks PJ. NSW state parks are usually pet friendly, or at least the ones I have come across have been.

Can you point me in the direction of where exactly it is please?? Like on the road from - to or similar.

Cheers..

From what i can gather there is no camping at Minyon. At Whian Whian there is a camp ground called Rummery Park, once again this is in two of books one says dogs the other says no, but there is a phone number
02 6662 4499
It has showers toilets, disabled access, fires allowed ,bbqs, trees for shade.
The directions..Camp area 32 km NE of Lismore. Turn N off Dunoon Rd
7 km NE of Dunoon onto Minyon Falls rd (NIghtcap Range Rd) and Peates Mountain Rd for 8 kms ( 7 km winding narrow dirt road) 2wd in dry weather.
This is the information from CAMPS 4 book.latest edition.

Thanks a heap PJ, I did not realize that it was in the Camps book. The people travelling will be coming down from Brisbane (not sure where exactly) so I will leave it up to them as to which route they choose to travel.

I will pass on your info. Thank you again.

Cheers Gypsy.....
