A browse of these boards should give you a lot of options :P

Hi Gribbs,

Inskip Point is a nice spot with views across to Fraser. If you have a 4wd you could alsways try Fraser or even the Cooloola Coast, these are definate favourites of mine. If you want to go a tad further than Hervey Bay, try near Bundaberg (Woodgate etc) as this area is also excellent.

Good Luck

What facilities are there at Inskip? Do you need 4WD?

Hi Amanda,

You dont need a Four Wheel Drive at Inskip. The road runs along side the campsites and the ground is quite firm in most spots. Mind you, I would avoid this are during holidays and long weekends as it will be very crowded. Big Brother has put restrictions as to how many can camp here due and I would have to agree with him/her. Other than that, it is a beautiful spot and well worth looking at.

Cheers

Are there toilet and showers, and do they allow fires?

amanda there is toilets no showers & yes you are allowed fires but if you want showers there is a shower block back at the hart of rainbow but it is cold water only & this is about a 15 min drive from the camp spots. you could allways stay at one of the caravan parks but i dont know about fires at them. also if you do go up there be carefull when you drive into some of the camp spots as some you will need a 4wd especialy the ones that are on the surf side.
