Camping at Maleny QLD

Postby Smileandhug » Tue May 13, 2008 11:57 am

Went to Maleny recently and stayed at the local showgrounds for $10 a night for a powered site in my camper trailer.
Handy to as I just followed the walkway constructed by Rotary that runs from the showgrounds to town. Damn nice surprise to see the walkway finish opposite the pub in town. :beer
Anyway if ya wanna get away and not totally rough it I would recommend it.

:hello: I saw a sign that said no dogs on the oval, yet every sunset you would see a few running around. So I say its ok to have pets. I aint got a dog Gypsy, I am a breeder of parrots.

I don't know much about parrots or birds of any description so I did wonder about this particular breed Geoff...

I was in the Parrot Society in the late 80's and the ringnecks were the next lot of birds to get trendy with owners and they were mutating them for different colours like the Lovebirds.

One bloke paid $40,000 for a pair of blue ones and a pair of albino ones. You can buy them now for $50 each

Wow - $40,000 for a pair of birds - you'd have to really be a bird lover to pay that.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Yeah Amanda the more the bird cost the more buyers you find. People will pay whatever for something that is new and in short supply.
