Kel and Kirks trip to Bright (Vic.)

Postby Komodo » Tue Jun 03, 2008 1:16 pm

Well not actually camping - BUT...

Kel and I went on a trip upto bright on the weekend for a bit of a get away break and to go visit a few of the (very nice) winerys in the Bright area (though we ended up spending more coin on the wines in the whitfield - king valley region on the way home)

But these are a few happy snaps we got of the weekend - some absolutely BEAUTIFUL camping areas in this region. We plan on spending a bit more time up that way as we had a ball! Next time definately camping though.

Nice pics - I remember Bright as being an absolutely stunning place to be in Autumn.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Beautiful place Bright is, I went there a few years ago & loved it, plan to go there again one day & do a bit of push bike riding along the extensive bike trails in the area, we went to the maze just out of town, the biggest hedge maze in the southern hemisphere I think...

Yes, the aerial view of the maze was of a photo they had on the wall, but the other one was one of the ones I took, however the date on the camera was wrong, it was in fact 2004 not 2002 :--?

We stayed in Albury at a motel & we checked out a few places around, including Lake Hume which was very low as can be seen by the photo's below...

I like the little country towns around the top of Victoria, especially the long names like Yackendandah & Tangambalanga :***

And no visit to Albury is complete without a visit to the Ettamogah Pub!

Haha Ettamogah Pub. The car audio group im involved with always stop in at Ettamogah to smash a few jars before hitting the road and heading the rest of the way to Wagga Wagga for the national finals each year (we have designated drivers obviously).

Our old logo sticker is on the front window and I've put more than a few of my business cards on the column of business cards over the years.

Actually
