All sites are close to beach or cliffs. Great surf fishing, and cheap. $10 per car per night and $2 a day for showers. No need to book, as there is 7km of camping spots. Just do a google search.
You could also try Mannum or swan reach on the river, both have good caravan parks. Not sure of cost, but have everything you need. Plenty to do in the local areas.
Perhaps you could go to the Barrosa as well, the Tanunda caravan park is clean and will also provide what you are after. And plenty of wineries in the area to "sample the wares"
There are a stack of places to go with in 2 hours of Adelaide. Good luck with it.
