Easter Camping - Charlie Moreland

Postby mdewbery » Wed Apr 01, 2009 11:53 am

I'm booked in to go camping over the Easter long weekend (Thursday - Monday) but I may not be able to get out there until very late Thursday night...

I'm just wondering if anyone has been there over Easter and can tell me if I'm better off trying to find a campsite on the Friday or if I should go out there Thursday night and try to quickly throw the tent up and finish setting up in the morning...

Thanks

Michael...either way it will be pretty busy.

If you want to set up in the daylight then I would suggest you plan to arrive very early friday morning although I do think most people will already be there by thursday evening.

Easter seems to be the one time when all the normal rules that apply fly out the window.

Thanks - I think we will just go in there as early as possible Friday morning.

Another question - does anyone know any good places to buy/pick up firewood we can take to Charlie Moreland grounds? I think I have seen that there is none supplied.

Thanks

If I lived in Kenilworth I'd try and sell firewood from the back of a small truck or a large ute.
There would be some decent pocket money for an enterprising lad.
Just to do it on 4 or 5 long weekends and the school holidays.

Be worth their while.

Bunnings sell it in bags.

Some garages also sell firewood in the same manner.

I found out Bunnings sells firewood for $12.50 for 20kgs - does anyone know how long this would last?
