Need help finding camping spot [vic]

Postby Rotgutz » Wed Jun 21, 2006 12:49 am

Looking for a place to camp with 8 of my mates, preferably a place

- Not covered in snow during June
- Within 3 hours drive of Melbourne
- In the bush (ie trees all round)
- Where we can be loud in the early hours of the morning
- Where campfires are allowed
- creek nearby would be nice but not necessary

We are self-sufficient so a place with facilities would just be a bonus and we dont mind paying reasonable camping fees.

If anyone could help us you would be very welcome.

Whilst waiting for a reply from a local, try browsing the state forestry's home page. In NSW i've found them to be all you'v described, and never had to pay camp fees. Fires allowed when there's no totall ban, can use wood found in the bush, dog friendly, and you can usually just find your own spot away from every1 so make as much noise as you like
