Need a family camping place for school holidays

Postby chrissy82 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 2:41 pm

Hi guys, im just new to camping, went for my first time last weekend and loved it. So now were planning our next little adventure and im looking for ideas. We have a small group (about 12 of us) wanting to go camping on September holidays and were looking for something with some good activities for the kids. Somewhere either sunshine coast or gold coast would be good. Some of us are camping and others will stay in a cabin. We have looked up noosa north shore and they look ok, but a lot of their activities are gone now. Was just wondering if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions that i can look up, thanks guys

Tallebudgera has had a fair bit done to it. has cabins and tent sites etc. great pool with slides, Sheltered swimming area in the creek, surf beach and club across the road, fishing etc.

jacobs well is good for the kids as well, bird feeding, big playground but especially good if you have a boat, boat ramp next to the camp ground

Sunshine coast has plenty along the beachfront.

So on and so on, a lot of these 'tourist' type parks have pretty good web pages so just get on and have a look and see what suits for you.

Borumba Deer Park at Imbil is great in September..lots activities for the kids, oldstyle playground, discos, great creek, deer to feed, great local town to enjoy.

Neurum Creek is great for kids and activiities as well.

Bestbrook has had some great reviews...they also look after the kids.

Start booking for September though!!

Hope this helps.
