The Settlement Campground, Springbrook, QLD

Postby Erin P » Sat Jan 29, 2011 5:53 pm

Hi everyone! I'm new around here and just starting to get back into camping (my family were camping fiends when I was younger).

My partner and I are heading up to Springbrook for a quiet (and cheap) weekend away and we are planning to stay at The Settlement Camping area...but before I book I would love to hear if anyone has any info or tips about camping here and if there is a particular site number that is better than others.

Thanks!!

P.S. Loving all the info on the forums!

Well I drove up to Springbrook today to have a look at the camp ground (and to lay under a nice shady tree and read a book for a few hours). I've decided on which site to book...fingers crossed my little weekend away goes well!

Sounds great Erin.....that is a campground I am not at all familiar with....is it pet friendly??

We'd love some pics and a report after your camp......

Thanks for the reply Gypsy Lady!

It's just a small, basic camping area in a National Park so no pets. No showers either...lucky we're just going away for a weekend!

I will let you know how it goes and post some photos when I get back.
