Senior Moment

Heard anything funny today about our pollies (their always good for a laugh). Get in touch with that inner Irishman and let’s hear a joke or two.

Senior Moment

Postby CampGrrlz » Fri Jan 30, 2009 12:21 pm

For all of us who are seniors - for all of you who know seniors - and for all of you who will be seniors. It pays to be able to laugh about it when you are!

And, speaking of senior moments:

"WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!" The irate customer calling the newspaper office demanded.

"Madam", said the newspaper employee, "today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on SUNDAY".

There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter,

"Aaarrgghh... so that's why no one was at church today".

Thanks, Amanda ... *loved* the bear story!

You don't necessarily have to be "senior" to have those moments - despite their pleas, a friend of mine once dropped her boys off to school on Labour Day. It was only as she was driving out of the "drop zone" she realised there were no other parents dropping kids, and that the carpark was completely empty. She soon reversed back and let the boys back in the car. They constantly remind her of it to this day.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!
