Would people feel more comfortable with a day trip first and see how it goes and then move onto a weekend camp?

troy good idea about a day trip first just to break the ice, then after that maybe a weekend away. [ this is a safe way for any single parents to get to know everyone ]

& yes frilly off to straddie 2nd week of the holidays for a week :armsup

I'd say honk as you go past but I will be on leave.

It looks as if it is going to be busy over at straddie, saw a few 4x4 go past today. Its becoming popular over there for early schoolies celebrations in Sept holidays.

Remember to watch the boys in blue with their cameras. Extra numbers out this year according to the local rag.

Have a good trip. 8)

wow i'll have to check back here more often...

I'd be keen, depending on dates etc.

kayaking, fishing, 4wding, bushwalking are good activities to fill the days too.

I can see that the sooner I move back to Qld the better. Seems we have quite a few people keen for trips up there. Hope that will be by Christmas.

How about deciding on a place to meet for the day (sharps park, Canungra ) . Then you can decide to camp over or a day trip. Kids have a creek to play in , picnic tables , bbqs, fire rings , shelter and toilets . Dogs allowed. Then the weekend , October, friday night 26th . Sat 27th and Sun 28th. Sharps park is only five minutes from Canungra . Flanagans reserve or Bigriggen is another suggestion.

We're interested too.
Tamborine is good for us on the last weekend in October.
November is a possibility if I can rearrange when hubby chases that little white ball around Howeston GC.

I think a day trip is a good idea as well. It will give everyone the chance to get to know each other. Then you could sort out over nighters at a later date. Count us in.
