Any further updates on which weekend this is going to be? Sticking with Anzac weekend or changing to Labour Day weekend?
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

We have thought that we would leave Butinga for a while, as you need a 4wd to access. So while we get it all rolling we will ttry to limit venues to places with 2wd access and toilets.

Feel free though to post and invite people along if you are going that way.

Not at this stage. It really what suits members and of course the venue. I will chase up Kenilworth Homestead tomorrow.

Hi all,

Little confused from all the posts - is the April (ANZAC) long weekend trip still happening, and whereabouts?

I'm interested..... although I do like places with showers and toilets.....

Cheers,
Jodie

I am quite interested to hear what the outcome is in regard to Kenilworth Homestead and whether it measures up.

They do have showers and toilets at KH and it is also pet friendly.

Friends of mine with a young family go pretty regularly and they are very pleased with it.

My concern might be how level the campground is for those who have camper trailers.

Jodie,

We are looking at Kenilworth Homestead. SGS was booked out. Problem is that with all the rain recently, the long weekends this year are going to be busier, and already many of the places are booked out. There will be something, details will be updated at the top of the post.

Details on Kenilworth Homestead

* $7ppn -$25pn for a family of 2 adults and up to 4 kids.
* Don't take bookings for camping just powered sites. Though the powered could be a distance away from the rest of the crowd.
* On ANZAC weekend Ok to come thursday night.

So looking good. report back after the recon.

Please Note

I have added a poll to see what weekend suits everybody. I know a couple of people can't do Anzac weekend and likewise Labor Day w/e ain't good for some. If it works out equal I will go for the ANZAC weekend.

I would really appreciate it if you do not post here for the next week so everyone sees this note. There ain't much to talk about until the recc so please refain until then. Thanks.

Ok folks.

Rang Borumba Deer Park this morning and they have space in the Sherwood Forest section of the park, which they said was most suitable for groups. The sites there are unpowered.

Ok, so this this will be venue unless of course there is an outcry of disapproval. :booty

I am going up on saturday to check it out and make a booking. ::)

You can take your mutt but there are conditions, so you will need to read those carefully as there is a per day charge and a deposit required.

Details can be found (including costs, facilities etc)
