Looking at their website it would appear they have an "off lead" camping area that is separate, however it looks like you can camp anywhere else with pets provided they are on a lead.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

That was not the case when I was there last year. People in the group with dogs could not camp in the same area as the reaminder of the group. They had very definite camping areas for people with dogs and then people without.

Thinking about it, that might actually suit especially if there is anyone who is not happy about other people camping with their dogs.

The off leash area is separate again. Unless it has been changed, the off leash area is just that, it is not an area in which you camp.

I am sure Troy will get all the info on saturday when he does the recce.

Does anyone have any idea of where the nearest place would be to attend an Anzac Day dawn service??????

Probably Imbil itself.

They also have a small market in the town every sunday and the Mary Valley Rattler comes to town on Sunday's as well. Think it arrives about 10am.

There is mention of an RSL hall, so I would presume from that a service probably would be held there. I'll try to track down a contact number to find out for sure. If not I'll just stick with my service at home and travel on up afterwards.

I am almost sure there will be a service in Imbil, it is a very community spirited little village.

I just rang and they will definitley be having a dawn service at the RSL in Imbil Amanda.

Other than that you have Gympie which is about 35 mins away.

My only concern was for you to make sure that the people with dogs can still camp in the same area as those without.

It may not be a problem for those going but I thought it needed a mention.

I would like to know more about the Sherwood forest section , is it down by the creek or up on one of the grassy sections on the upper level?

Ok guys, just got back from my recon to Borumba Deer Park. I also checked out Island Reach.

Borumba Deer Park is it, and I think quite a good venue for a get together.

I will post details sometime tonight and I will make a booking in the next day or so. Need to pay a deposit of $10 per site so I am going to need to know some numbers. (I will do a poll).

Also will post some photos.

Bit buggered after a long week and a hectic weekend but I will endeavour to get the detaisl up tonight. perhaps after I watch the replay of the mighty broncos playing

Hey Troy,

Fancy some Newbies coming? Me, hubby and 1 boy 10... I used to go camping at Borumba Deer Park as a kid - it was awesome!!! We couldn't get in for Easter so we'd definitely be in for this trip.

Look forward to hearing more details soon.

Cheers Kez

Ok here is the result of the poll for whih weekend. Didn't get enough support to change it to Labour Day Weekend. Sorry to those who can't make it ANZAC weekend but there will be plenty of opportunities during the year.
