Yes you can have a camp fire but Island Reach is not somewhere I would choose for a winter camp.

I have not forgotten, I do have a couple places in mind and am working through them.

June is five (5) months away, what's the hurry??

Drambuie is another one that is GREAT for warming you up in winter by the campfire.

No hurry, just trying to keep the discussion flowing.

I was actually thinking about it on the way to work this morning. Have we actually decided which weekend in June it is going to be held on?? That will have some bearing also on which venue I would pick.

I was thinking Queens Birthday weekend, to keep it clear of School Holidays

If we want something quieter then the weekend before perhaps.

Long weekends are good for me and the venues I would choose will be off the tourist track and would therfore not be very busy.

June is also normally a quieter month because of the cold.

Remember, we can always put up a poll if you want to get peoples feedback on a venue. :)

Lol, l was born in Victoria but have lived in Queensland for the past 20 odd years and believe me l'm the first one to break out the winter jarmies and the hot water bottle at the first hint of cool weather up here.
I look forward to it...bring on some real cold weather.

It is always nice to warm the bed before jumping in.
