What the hell is going on?

Im using FF3 and IE 7 here at work FF2 at home
Pages are S L O W EVERY WHERE.

So slow that I'm only checking this forum on average twice a week (used to be 3-4 times a day)
Posting a reply or a new topic requires the patience of Job waiting for the site to wake up.
This is rediculous!

This site is loosing members at this stage - not gaining them and I can only attribute that to a poor layout and the high amount of down time the site has and its low speed.
The content and members are great!

This is the only site I have issues with. I get the odd drop out on some forums but one this site i get the occasional successful login (which used to be automated?)

I have reset my browsers, cleared my cache and deleted my cookies all to no avail.

Heres hopeing this will post successfully

Yes unfortunately we are doing a rewrite of the website and this seems to be taking its toll on the server and subsequently the forum. We are looking at alternatives and we hope to tidy it up shortly I guess if we have to do it, its best while it’s slow. But improved services will help build the site in the long run (well we hope)... ::()

This might help.

Delete your browser history and temporary internet files. Each time you visit a website, information is stored including the server settings etc. If there are changes to the site, and you go back your browser may go back to the old data not the new settings and then has to search. Please note this is my understanding of how it works and may not be quite accurately.

Look it may not help, but if it does please tell.

cheers
