Postby Ozzycamperboy » Wed Mar 21, 2007 7:00 pm

"Tropical" 52L Ice box
Just under a year old, no cracks or dents etc but it has quite a few scuff marks.
Rubber seal on the drain plug lets a bit of water seep through

~$199 brand new. Selling for $120

Don't need it anymore as I've got a 12v fridge.

Anyone in Sydney considering one I'd go for it. We have an 82ltr icebox and they're fantastic.

Good Luck Oz!

Yeah I'm after either the GME 4400 or Uniden 088.

Good luck!

Whats wrong with the rubber seal on the drainage hole?
Can it be fixed?

Just had a look at it, and visually it looks fine, but it does leak slowly. A bit of plumbers tape around the thread would more than likely stop it. If i get time I'll give it a go and test it. Failing that you could probably go to Clarke rubber and get a softer bit of rubber for the seal, so it contacts closer to the plastic.

It really isn't a big deal as your meant to drain the water regularly anyway
