Anyone in Melbourne

Postby Bearded shark » Mon Jun 11, 2007 7:47 pm

Hi, just a huge stab in the dark...wondering if there was anyone travelling from Melbourne to Perth or southern half of WA in the next few weeks, (NOT towing a trailer) who would b interested in bringing a light trailer (Approx 300kg total) with them?

I will make it worth yor while $$$ 8) I won't post what sort of trailer it is but any person willing 2 do it may know, it is no huge secret and NOTHING dodgy but u will understand y I don't wanna broadcast it if u find out.

Any feedback about any freight companies etc who u r reliable is also appreciated.

Anyone prepared to do this or if u know someone who might, please contact Joel 0439526059 Thanks

FYI

We're going the other way and the cost to freight the CT from Perth to QLD was going to be around the $2k mark. We towing it anyway so we can have some fun on the way.

Cheers ...

Spewin hehehe. I got quoted $900 to get it trucked here but not sure when they can do it. I'm offerin a substantial amount to any trustworthy person who can guarantee to my satisfaction to tow it here. I'm not expecting to find someone b4 I find a freight co. who will do it...but its worth a try.

I could get it on the 'Indian Pacific' for $500 but it only goes thru Adelaide & the 'Overlander' that goes from melbourne to adelaide is not taking auto freight at the moment. It's too big & heavy to fly, dunno if there is a shipping service yet, & with rail lookin dim it's car or truck. I'd drive over myself but that would take 6 days of 12-13hrs straight driving and around $1500 diesel. I have the money but not the time b4 spring...when I want it 4.

Transport sorted...Finally got a reasonable quote from a logistics company who can get it here next week. By the way it was a jet ski on the trailer. Didn't want dishonest people lookin for a free ski, hence the secrecy.

hehehe cheers mate, I would have taken u up on that. Unfortunately, I live in perth & chances r I'd have 2 leave ski behind if I ever came over. I would love 2 have driven over but it'd take 3 days each way, & well over $1k in fuel. As it happened, I flew over 2 buy it & personally put it on truck. Skis r big $$ over here. Even after freight costs, I could sell it & make $2000.

It's not here yet, but this way if somethin happens I'm insured. I was concerned if I said wot it was I'd get people lining up 2 pick it up, (Who do u trust then?) & I'd never c it.

Mate U should save up & buy 1. They r awesome. I have been into MotoX for yrs but it is an autumn/winter sport. I tried gettin my wife to let me buy her a 125cc & she suggested a ski, so I said "why not"?. Then she lost interest, but I became obsessed. Now I have trouble deciding which 1 2 take out hahaha.

I would love one, but you need to get some other friends with them too cause it can get a little boring riding on one yourself.

Yeah it can do...doesn't really bother me. But if I am riding alone, I usually stay within 200m from shore. I dunno wot u got over there but we got a local jet ski club here http://www.jetsportwest.com.au or even better, hop on this site http://www.4-tecforum.com.au. It's tied in with Jet Sport West but is international. I became a member earlier this yr & found them very friendly & helpful. I'm goin 2 my 1st social event with em this Sun. There r forum members in QLD & links to clubs in other states. I didn't realise how serious people were about the sport. These guys ride in winter. I joined b4 I bought my 1st ski, & I'm glad I did. I have the same username there too so u will know who I am if u wanna say hi.
