Wow 35 bucks. I hope they're not made from cotton planted in old clear felled rainforest areas! Image

i experienced camping by myself. and i must say. its very enjoyable

i just cruised around.

it was a good weekend. the ability to what i wanted when i wanted was a major plus.

thought about meals when i needed them. walked some trails at my pace and when/where i wanted to.

and after that experience i already have plans to go again.

with a few changes.

1. being a swag.
2. being a lpg 2 burner gas stove.

i went cheap on equipment to see if i liked it. now i know that i do. i'm investing in good stuff. (seeing as my tent poles broke again, after already getting them replaced once)
if you can't learn to do it right.
enjoy doing it badly.

Cheers, Chick

That's probably not 'chicken' as such but more self preservation. I go by myself occasionally for one night or so and then meet friends after but I never stay in a place I feel exposed. I always choose a private campground or similar, one where there are others about if I happen to need help.

How can you really be alone if you've got a twin burner stove?
You'd need a vehicle on your own land,
a really secret car based camping spot,
or a very straight back to carry it with!
