Having left over cocnut chicken for dinner tonight but reckoned I needed dessert to go with it.
Quantities are something that you are going to have to work out in accordance with your own baking dish. I will list what I used in my small dish. Some recipes will tell you to remove the crusts but I don't think that is necessary. Also I like mine with a nice dark crust on top and some don't.GRANDMAS BREAD AND BUTTER PUDDINGINGREDIENTS
3 slices bread
1 cup milk
Butter bread on both sides and cut into quarters. Jam one side of half the bread and layer it into the baking dish. Sprinkle sultanas over to your liking. Layer the rest of the bread on top and sprinkle with sugar. I like mine sweet. Beat the eggs and milk and pour over the top. Allow to soak for ten minutes then place in camp oven.
