I had a little corgie, blue healer cross once that was then same. He would always snarl at kids and when my daughter was a year old and walking, the dog had to go. He was also well trained and very smart but short and I think it was a pecking order thing. I have a rotty for the last 9 years that has been the most patient and forgiving dog as far as kids and people go and has never raised a lip. I think thier reputation comes a lot from the way they carry on at the front gate and also that they don't play well with strange dogs. I believe Bull Terriers are the same.
