A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

So sad for everyone being washed away, breaking down, chicken pox etc. It makes it so hard for us as well because Shane only gets to take 2 weeks off a year form the 4th - 20th Jan over the school holidays. He is not allowed any other school holiday breaks. We are surposed to be going up to Teewah Beach for the first week and sailing up to Fraser the second. :( so I hope that things settle down before then otherwise we wont be going and will have to try and find another place to camp with the 2 boys. And we will definitely not be singing along to Rod Stewarts song we are sailing.
Cheers

Just got back from sydney last night , was going to stay somewhere along the way but it rained all the way . Drove through very heavy rain for about a hour between Ballina and Mt Warning. Got stuck in traffic due to accidents, seven in all . Had great weather over the past 15 days, the other two days we were in Melbourne they had floods and heavy rain ,since then the weather has been great to us.

Andy&Ange, How is it down your way? Fair bit of flooding around Beaudesert by the looks of it.

We spent a week from boxing day down at Ballina. Took the boat and a surf ski and neither touched salt water. Rained everyday except the day we packed up to come home (it turned from rain to torrential rain). We still had a good time, we just couldn't do the stuff we wanted to do. When you get back to nature you have to accept nature for what she is, this was reinforced to me when we were at the mouth of the Richnond river watching the wild seas trying to dismantle the breakwater.
Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.
