you asked how to post a pic? :)

1. find the photo on the net that you want to post.

2. right click your mouse on the photo

3. select "properties" from the popup menu

4. highlight (with your mouse curser) the full "address URL" within that properties box. it will look like this http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2005/06/ ... 50x362.jpg

5. while it is highlighted, hit the keys "Ctrl" and "c" (copy) and you now have copied the magical bit of info you need.

6. now you can make a new post on the camping forum and hit the button above the post text box that says "Img", that creates [img]and%20then%20you%20hit%20the%20keys%20"Ctrl"%20and%20"v"%20,%20that%20pastes%20the%20magical%20bit%20of%20info%20after%20the%20

and then you have something like this....

Tried this Steve and it does not work with personal pix that are not posted on the net. I have been told about setting up a photo bucket or something but I did not want to do that.

Is there another way that anyone can tell me about please??

Cheers...

yeah you have to have the photos you want to post already on the net somewhere, photobucket or some kind of hosting account.

i wont mention the attachment mod for the forum, i don't think any admins would want to get involved in that... easier for users to get their own account :armsup

Well I have no idea what this attachment mod thing is that you mention, it is all foreign to me. Setting up the photobucket is not an option for me either and I know nothing of any other hosting accounts either.

So I will have to accept it as it is.

Thanks just the same Steve. Cheers Gypsy...

A group of us camped at a friends farm at Tyalgum over New Year - let's just say that the 4WD's got out, but there are now 5 sedans that have been stranded on the other side of the creek since New Years Day. The prediction is we may get to them by early next week! Oh well, it did make for an axciting New Years Eve.

Anyone else get caught out in Northern NSW/Gold Coast area?

WISH that'd been me then I might have had a good excuse not to go back to work. Only problem is that I think the boss knows I have a 4WD....bummer..

Yep my sister and her family had to put back their travels to come down here back a few days. They are from Brissy and couldnt get through to Stanthorpe to drop off their dog and wouldn't have been able to get through Tenterfield ..... but they are here now :armsup

I'm sure she has a valid reason. Maybe GL knows something we don't about photobucket. :o
