Our forever foster dog Minx who has three legs has had a terrible itch with this heat, after trying a dozen dog shampoos i saw that Billy Goats soap on A current affair,.Tried it it worked, recommended it to a girl at work whose dog had sores all over it and had spent a small fortune at the vets,,it worked on him too. Emailed the company and told them my friend and i had been washing the dogs in it and it has fixed their itch plus attached some photos. They are so impressed they want my permission to use MINX as a Mascot for rescue animals and of course will send me free products every month. How exciting..

Good on you PJ and great news for Minx as well. Now what I want to know it where do you get this soap please??

I did not see it on TV and ma bella is on very expensive allergy pills to assist with her itch....I might also add there is very expensive shampoo also included in that treatment.

You can get it off the web but it is cheaper to buy at the chemist then you don`t pay postage. it is called Billy Goats Goat soap there are other goats soaps but this one has absolutely no chemicals added. the larger chemists seem to have it more than the smaller ones.I buy mine at Giant Chemists.
this is the web site.

I also bought different shampoos from vet and pet store,Minx instantly stopped scratching after i bathed in this soap, it would last 3/4 days before he would start again now he can go a week or more depending on the weather heat etc.

PJ, I have since found it at the little chemist around the corner from home.....will stop off this arvo and pick some up if I get away from work in time.

Will definitely give it a try, thanks.

BTW....I'd watching Minx if I were you....all this adulation might welll go to his head (being a male) and he may get to think he has become a Super Star....and you know what thye can be like!! although he is probably already a super star in your eyes.

Great news PJ, it's always great when something works to fix their ails. :+

Our old golden lab Jed (since passed and greatly missed) had trouble with what they call "hot spots" wish I had know about that soap when he was still around as we hated seeing him be so uncomfortable and itchy all summer.

We are having trouble with our two labs and flies on their ears and hubby has this cream(can't remember the name) he found that is all natural and it seems to be doing the trick on both dogs also we found the cream they use on horses for flies works well also.

Great to hear you now get free product that's an added bonus for you both :?#

XB, that product is called Nature's Botanical Cream and is primarily made of Rosemary & Cedarwood oils and yes it can also be used on humans.

I used it on my outback trip last year for the flies.....it is VERY good.

Well PJ....I just purchased my first cake of Billie Goat soap from the local chemist and yes both ma bella and the little bratbag have both been tubbed already.

The soap was very nice to use and I found it also does not require much rinsing to get all the lather off and it does lather up quite nicely.

Will tub them again on the weekend and monitor them to see how they fare. At $50 a bottle for allergy pills, I'll be one very happy mum if I can get ma bella off them.
