Not really the sort of stuff I like to discuss on a camping forum...getting sqeamish now ::()

EEEEEWWWWW.

Put it in the same section as that lady wee like a man thingamawhatzit :beer

Got to agree with xmasbaby67, not what I expect to be finding on a camping forum, in particular in such graphic detail.
A natural process yes, but appropriate to Australian Camping, I'm affraid not.

Rowans, general topic I found very interesting, just the initial few sentances, I feel strayed from the forums general feel.

This is definitely not the dark ages, that is for sure and overall we are a very progressive forum.....BUT this is not a subject that I feel appropriate for a PUBLIC forum that is camping/travel/recreation lifestyle related.

Yes we do often chat about other unrelated topics but it never really strays too far from base and I believe it should remain like as such.

Overall it appears that this is not a popular topic for discussion and whilst there are quite a few ladies currently on the forum it is not being taken over by the ladies and or girly only topics and as such I’d like to keep it to reasonably general topics please.

This is not about censorship or telling members what they can or cannot post but more about keeping the forum on relevant topics of conversation.

We could have a section called..
"Look if You`re Game" or ... "Look but don`t be Offended and Blame Us".
"'Things WWWAaaayyyyyy off base...

We are not in the dark ages and i knew about these cups and they other girlie wee thing, they have been around for years,BUT i come to this forum to read about camping adventures, ideas, get CAMPING/outdoor information and believe me i think the commercials on Tv about womens menstral cycles and products with stupid young guys in them over step the mark too..ok you think this product is wonderful but I for one don`t intend to discuss something so personal on a public forum for women or men to read.imagine going camping and they are thinking ..oh wonder if she has her wee bottle or menstral cup with her. I` am intelligent enough to do my own research on what product i choose to use and not preach it to the world ..and sorry if you don`t agree.

So why this comment, which appears rather narrow minded?

I think I am with the consensus on this one, I am a pretty enlightened guy (I have been a nurse for 21 years, so have had to deal with many personal issues during that time), but I feel that this is probably a little bit graphic and to much info - especially for a camping forum.

Sorry Rowan, I guess you think it is an important topic but as PJ says most adults would resesarch the topic themselves - but I have to admit I do LOL at the advert with the young bloke with sanitary towels stuck all over him!

Which is also in poor taste. Private bodily functions are just that. Private.
