I visited a girlfriend friend in Toowoomba, had a look the Spring Bluff historic railway station on the way there and returned via the Steele Rudd (of Dad and Dave fame) memorial in the Camboya shire.

No too bad a weekend for a non camping weekend.

Pix from Spring Bluff Historic Railway Station.....

When I pulled into the car park the amber lights were flashing and the siren going off as well. I thought I was in for a treat with a train coming; however I was disappointed to find that it was just the unit grinding of the tracks on the top side of the station....did not even come into the station.

I picked up a brochure and found that excursions are run from Toowoomba during carnival week every year so might well put it on my agenda.

Not too sure Titch....I always use Outlook to resize them before posting. They'd all be under 100kb I would think.

There is also some free software available called VSO Image Resizer on the internet; have a look at it.

THANKS Gypsy they are brilliant photos!! :armsup Looks like you had a great weekend.

Me on the other hand spent ALL day (10-4.30) TRYING to watch my girls play netball while having parents continually moaning at me for one reason or another (this will be my last year as VPres of netball thank heavens). :-bang then went to the pub to have a few drinks with the hockey girls which I'm mates with. :armsup
Sun was spent cleaning and ironing

Looking forward to next Sat nite as we are going over to our friends place that we usually go camping with to have a few reds by their open fireplace that they have in their outdoor entertaining area, so it will be pretty much like going camping!!! ::)

Look forward to hearing how all the QLDers spent their long weekend!!!! :+

I know what you mean about the open fire place XB. I went to my son's place for a BBQ last night and they had a mozzie coil going and it reminded me of camping....smelled great.....ha, ha.

Not quite an open fire Gypsy but isn't it funny what smells trigger off camping memories

I'm actually looking forward to my clothes & hair smelling of smoke again as it's been too long between fires (and reds)!!! hahaha :***

We really must be a sad bunch.......

I now class myself as a "camping tragic" as I can't wait to get out there again.

We are off to Darwin for a conference mid May for 4 days but I'm more excited about going to Mallacoota in the CT for 5 nites in Oct?????? I think that makes me a definate sad case and a camping tragic. :***
