As a follow on to, Mainstay 5 year shelf life survival food . and not wanting to thread steal.
In Rays outdoors, they have meals in a packet ,dehydrated, just add boiling water.
Has anyone tried them? are they Edible? The sodium content alone would turn me off.
Just curious.

I think I know the ones you mean - vacuum sealed in a plastic/foil bag?

A friend's husband takes them on his hiking trips across Tassie. I think the target market is hikers and maybe bikers who are trying to keep weight down.

I guess the salt content wouldn't be such an issue for the hikers?
