In the dim distant days of my Sydney childhood, we had a sausage of indeterminate contents called 'Pork Fritz' and this just after WW2 when anything vaguely-German was usually renamed. There's some awful stuff (a bit like camp pie in a roll) called 'Devon' and 'Strasburg' and the there's an Italian-inspired sausage 'Mortadella' which is soft in texture like the Fritz. They don't resemble salami or wurst, though.
