Saw this yesterday between Blanchetown and Swan Reach.
May be an alternative camping spot for someone.

you ring the number between 8am and 9pm, pay and get a key to the gate, down to the river you go.

Seeing as its private property, maybe he does not want it looking like a rest-spot.
Some of the camp-sites I have come across ,look like one.
Unfortunately there are grubs out their.

I am afraid Titch is right....there are those who will spoil it for all.

Show the rules up front and if they don't like it, they can move on.

We're going up there in a couple of weeks. Great spot to camp. Except on long weekends.

It has abundant Red River Gum's,nice level camping areas and you can sit under the porch of your tent with a beer, while waiting for a bite. :beer It is one of the quieter spots along that stretch of the river. No being woken at 6 AM by some idiot firing up his speed boat. There are no washing or toilet facilities but I find that adds to its charm.

I live in Aldinga Beach. 43Ks south of Adelaide. The track down is fine. In fact I saw several vans down there. Last time I was there.we picked up the key from a charming old lady who looked at least 120 years old. 8) . Don't know if she's still kicking. The cliffs to the right of the camping area used to be good for Callop,Catfish and Redfin. Shrimps were the best bait. You can catch these in a simple trap around the weed beds.

Sounds like a great spot, I will save this for future reference.
We shall be back this way next year after Kangaroo island.
Van or C T at the moment unknown, wish I could tow both.
Thanks for the reply.
