I will be camping that weekend....a tradition which I cannot break BUT I will come home early on Monday and head out to have a look see at what goodies are on offer.

I'll probably head up to Brissy to see the show on the Saturday morning. The main thing I will be looking for is Tag-along tour operators who offer East-To-West tours (Byron Bay to Steep Point) as I have some long service leave due soon and I would like go right across the centre of Australia. Apart from that, just generally look at the latest camping gadgets.

Bye Jeff.

I'm going and taking my mum who is a grey nomad and my sister. Will be going on Wed as my almost 4yo will be at preschool.
Just looking at what's on offer. My mum bought her new campervan there 3 years ago. I love looking at all the fancy whiz bang stuff. Never know what you might find that you absolutely have to have!

Edit: Actually might go on Friday cos I won't have to worry about the time so much. On a preschool day I have to pick up my son by 2.30 - that would make my day a bit short when you consider travel time to and from the event.

If it's possible SN get them to look at a Camprite....they are great CTs for a family on the move. http://www.campritecampers.com.au/

We're going. Probably Sunday or Monday. I was looking (dreaming) at camper trailers online the other night & th wife suggested that we should buy one after christmas. Who am I to say no to her? So we'll be going to have a good look. Am leaning toward a Lifestyle Podium at the moment. Apparently this year's show will be the largest ever held in Australia.
It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

I really like the look of the Camprite's too but they were out of out price range and it would have been too tight a squeeze with our three teenage kids.

I have heard that they have a 12mth waiting list?

Yeah they only work for little kids if there are more than 2.

I think just a standard hard floor flip over is ideal for just two of you XB....to me the Camprite is ideal for family.

Lot of wasted room with the two single beds if only being used for two people.

I have friends long ago who had 2 kids and they had one...first one in Qld to be exact. When they had baby #3 they sold it.

You can also put bunks in the single bed area as well to cater for up to 4 children. They are expensive but worth every dollar if one can manage the cost.

But can't you make the two single beds into lounges, which would be good in rainy weather otherwise we are usually sitting outside enjoying the scenery.

Have got a long way too go to get to that stage Gypsy  who knows what will be on the market by then :***
