Thanks Rosco :armsup :armsup

We had 40mm here last night which is great ::) but was pretty wild at times.... ::()

Sun is out today and it's a balmy 9.5 degrees!!! :*** :***

Our friends made it to the tip of the cape yesterday and said it's wonderful up there too!!! :?#

They will be in for a bit of shock when they get home in a couple of weeks ::()

Will be interesting to hear how Lin got on last night. We had a cold, wet and windy night lastnight and Canberra was worse. Somtimes the weather heads across that way.

in terms of forecasts - it was expected that there would be snow down to about 1000m today, so it's a tad fresh outside at the moment.

16 degrees will be like summer to them and only had 2.4mm where as we had over 40mm.

Hope she is having a great time is spite of the weather... :cheers

Yep, we only had a bit of a downpour on Friday night. Got taken by surprise as we were facing East and the wind was NW! And we hadn't had enough daylight to set up the tarp yet. Fortunately friends with a rooftop tent had just rocked up and we ended up sitting under their pull-out awning.

And only a bit of light rain after that. I think Tuesday we had a shower at night. But the wind was very gusty and the tarp kept falling down. Very annoying! I had to redo the whole thing on Wednesday morning which made me very grumpy.

On Thursday the wind changed to the SE and became gusty again. When I tried to adjust the tarp poles again that morning and discovered that one was broken and wouldn't stay extended, I spat the dummy and took the whole thing down! And fortunately we didn't get a drop of rain after that. And the wind died down that evening too.
